For years I’ve been through the struggle of finding a foundation perfect for my Indian skin tone. Brands like Two faced, Mac, Estee Lauder, and Bare Minerals were too thick (clogged my pores too much) or didn’t have a shade that matched my skin tone. Finally! My search has come to an end…. Hello Happy Soft Blur foundation by Benefit is my new best friend!
The foundation is lightweight and doesn’t clog the pores, yet blurs them out beautifully like its name claims. The consistency is a little runny, but personally, I love that as it gives me buildable coverage and makes it easily blendable. I like to build it up for a dramatic party look, but on regular days I want a little less coverage and more brightening for a natural face. The price is quite affordable running up at 29$ at Sephora. The size of the foundation is similar to most other big brands out there (30 ml), so it’s worth the price. Also, can we take a minute to appreciate that adorable packaging! But, all this aside, the biggest blessing is that has an SPF (15) built into it! Thank you Benefit Cosmetics!
The only issue I see people running into is the limited number of tones this foundation comes in. There are only 12 shades of the foundation, and since I found my perfect color in the first go, I didn’t try mixing them.
This foundation worked beautifully for my combination skin. Here is a little about my skin to give you some insight;
- color: 4 (medium-neutral)
- combination skin
- dark brown hair and light brown eyes
- large pores
- uneven skin tone
- a bit of sun damage
